TiNA project is an equality project
that promotes technology studies as an attractive and a realistic
career option for young girls. The project also supports women
during their technology studies and facilitates the transition
from studies to work.
The project continues and further
develops the work done in the Gender and technology education
project - TiNA 2001-2003 - in the Department of Electrical and
Communication Engineering at the Helsinki University of Technology.
The current TiNA project is funded
by the State Provincial Office of Southern Finland and the European
Social Fund.
The TiNA project network consists
of Helsinki University of Technology - Department of Electrical
and Communications Engineering, Espoo Institute of Technology
(AMTEK), Espoo-Vantaa Institute of Technology (EVTEK) - Degree
Program in Information Technology as well as comprehensive and
high schools of the area.
